As a young girl, I had quite the collection of headbands; one in every color of the rainbow and in various prints and styles (Limited Too, I’m looking at you!). When I started noticing the headband trend coming back strong for spring, I couldn’t have been more excited and ready to embrace the fad!
From silk turban-style wraps to headbands featuring bendable wire frames that you can wear in oh-so-many ways, the options are endless. While your initial thought might be that you can’t pull off the headband look, I encourage you to try it out — I think you’ll be surprised with just how wearable and versatile headbands can be!

The A-Lyst for Stylish Headbands
Floral Bendable Headband from Place & Gather
My high school friend, Amanda, owns an adorable gift shop called Place & Gather in Charlestown, Massachusetts, which sells an array of fun and beautiful headbands. She’s even advancing the local headband trend on social media by encouraging her shoppers to use #CharlestownHeadbandClub when they sport them! I picked up this fabric floral print headband a month ago (you can call the shop, order one, and they’ll ship it to you if you’re not local!) and have been wearing it on repeat. It features a bendable wire inside of it, so I can easily twist the top into a knot, bow, or wear it so the tie is underneath my hair. Endless options and so cute!
For an added touch of glamour, I’m loving this turban-style headband from Gucci. It can be worn around the head for an uber chic look or as a traditional headband tucked under your hair. The silk fabric makes it dressy enough for evening wear, however, it’s still very approachable for daytime, too. I also love it in this gorgeous snake skin-inspired print and this floral one, which is more logo-heavy.
Knotted Chiffon Headband from Anthropologie
Available in a great selection of cheerful summer colors, I love how easy this headband is to wear. You can throw it on while you’re running out the door and don’t have to fuss with how you’re going to style it. I adore the red and yellow hues that it comes in (so cute with a white dress or printed jumpsuit featuring those colors), but truthfully, I want them all!
The Tropez Turban Headband from Third Piece
In time for summer, Third Piece, a Boston-based knitwear studio, just launched its first headband! Hand-knit in Boston, or by you (if you’re crafty, you can order a kit that includes everything you need to create it yourself), this turban-style headband is perfect for the girl who is always complaining about headbands not staying on her head. This handmade piece is nice and snug on your crown and won’t slip off as you jet around the city or play at the beach. The teal is my personal pick, but any of the 12 colors are gorgeous! Up for mastering a new skill this summer? You can read more about the knitting classes available at the Third Piece in my earlier blog post here.
Lizzie Fortunato Ruched Plaid Silk Headband
The ruched detail across the top of this headband is such an easy way to add a little bit of interest to your hairstyle. Adding volume and texture to a traditional band, this Lizzie Fortunato headband is the perfect way to dress up your summer wardrobe. It’s sure to be a staple accessory of mine.
Pearls, especially on hair accessories, are another one of the big trends for spring and this style by Lele Sandoughi is the perfect combination of the two. While I favor the classic white, this headband is also available in black and mint green as well as in a bunch of other colors that are embellished with crystals and/or studs. Super trendy and fun!
