Lipsticks are, without a doubt, the most fun and versatile type of make-up. It’s the one cosmetic that you can use to really play up your personality or current mood, and you can never have too many different shades! While I have my tried and true favorites (hello, NARS “Mexican Rose”!), I am always on the hunt for a new go-to hue.
During the summer months, coral is my favorite lip color to sport, and recently, I added a handful of new coral-colored lipstick staples to my make-up bag. M.A.C Cosmetics Lipstick in Vegas Volt
This is a beautiful orange-coral hue that is perfect for those days when you want a lip color that packs some punch, but doesn’t look too bright or over-the-top. M.A.C is my go-to brand for great lipstick colors that don’t break the bank.
Guerlain KissKiss Creamy Satin Finish Lipstick in Sexy Coral
I am obsessed with the glossy finish of this fresh coral hue. It’s definitely a bright shade, but when you apply it, the color is actually more sheer than you would initially expect. The formula goes on so smooth and the color really holds. As a random side note, I simply adore how the actual lipstick has “Kiss Kiss” etched into it — such great branding!
Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl in Corail Redoutable
After spending prolonged time in the sun, my lips always feel so dry and chapped, so I like to keep several more moisturizing lipstick formulas in my beauty arsenal. Givenchy’s vinyl line has black rose oil in its ingredient list, which really helps to add hydration to my lips. On top of that, this color is a great pick for a casual night out because it’s bright, but not too bold!
Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in Cosmic
I’ve been a longtime fan of Dior Addict glosses. On summer nights when I want to play with a darker eyeshadow palette, I always grab this coral gloss to put on my pout. Depending on how much you apply, it can be as understated or as overstated as you like, which makes it an excellent choice for a gorgeous glossy finish that offers just a hint of color.
NARS Satin Lip Pencil in LODHI
This approachable, warm coral offers full color, and its pencil application always results in a smooth and flawless finish. I personally top this hue with a coat of clear gloss for added shine, but it also looks beautiful when worn on its own!
Yves Saint Laurent – Rouge Volupté Shine in Corail Incandescent
Beyond its gorgeous bottle, YSL’s Rouge Volupté line offers striking colors and high shine. I have multiple colors from this particular YSL lipstick collection because I love how smooth the formula feels on your lips! This particular hue of coral is fun and bright, and perfect for a summer day spent in the sun.
